In 2019, João was the assistant Director of Victor Hugo Pontes in his creation “DRAMA” premierd in Guimarães (Portugal).

Drama is a piece that has its starting point on the play “Six Characters in search of an author” by Luigi Pirandello and is a continuation of Victor Hugo Pontes search around the boundaries between dance and theater.

• Fuga Sem fim:

In 2019, João performed the piece “FUGA SEM FIM” by Victor Hugo Pontes in the city of Guimarães (Portugal).

This piece raises, then, many different issues (social, cultural, political, interpersonal), but focuses on the reflection on the origin of the creative act as an “artifact”, “deliberate construction”, “fiction”, “simulacrum of reality”, or while searching for a way out, for several answers, for the idea of escape as a category of affirmation.
