Unbounded:
” In UNBOUNDED, Romulus Neagu signs the concept and choreographic coordination, João Santiago co-creates and interprets and Cristóvão Cunha, signs the light design. Thus written, it may seem that I am simply making known the show’s artistic record, but this is not my intention. In fact, I would like to be able to describe in words the feeling of being able to see on stage the real dialogue that takes place between the work of the three professionals involved. The scenic space and the light design are breathtaking. Beautiful and efficient. Breath that we recover with breaths, security and fluidity in the execution of each movement by the interpreter and co-creator. I imagine that conceiving and choreographically coordinating this work was extremely rich. “

Casa:
In 2013, João was part of Romulus Neagu´s and João Dias Creation “CASA” created and performed in Jardins Efémeros Festival, Viseu (Portugal). In this project, pieces of furniture are reused / transformed into plastic objects, camouflaged with Drawing language.
These objects work with the idea of a “site specific” installation, complemented by documentation in photography and video. Each intervention is thought of in a performative and choreographic way with the inhabitants while these objects integrate the public space.

“That’s been one of my mantras — focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex; you have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple.”
“I think if you do something and it turns out pretty good, then you should go do something else wonderful, not dwell on it for too long. Just figure out what’s next.”
